BE A PART OF YOUR COMMUNITY
We encourage our Members to get involved in their communities, because the most important issues facing our communities–from health care and tax reform to transportation, education, and funding for the arts–are the issues that we deal with every day, both in our Union and in our work.
So Vote. Volunteer. Stay informed. Call your congressperson. Email the editor of your local paper. And speak out whenever you can.
THERE IS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS.
Network with other artists who also want to make a difference. Attend Membership meetings and events, and connect with us and peers on Facebook to support shared efforts in advocacy. Tell others about what you are doing, and make connections with artists in other fields.
