At a time when the country is dangerously divided, the arts provide a space for citizens to engage in dialogue and strengthen our communities. Now more than ever, public support of arts and culture is necessary to ensure the survival of our union. President Trump’s proposal to eliminate public funding only threatens to grow the divide.

As a constituent, I am calling to ask [CONGRESSMAN/SENATOR] to reject all attempts to terminate or reduce the size and scope of the NEA and NEH, and the CPB. These institutions create jobs, educate children, and promote dialogue across America. In fact, please invest more in these agencies.
