Off-Bway: An Iliad, Light Shining in Buckinghamshire, The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek, Slavs, The Waves (NYTW); The Model Apartment, Shipwrecked, (Primary Stages); The Fourth Sister, The Batting Cage (Vineyard); King Liz, Ernest Shackleton Loves me (2ST); Patron Saint of Sea Monsters, Chemistry of Change (Playwrights’ Horizons); The Poor Itch, Tongue of a Bird (Public); Collected Stories (MTC); To the Bone, Exile (Cherry Lane); F*ck7thGrade (Wild Project). Regionally, Lisa has directed world premieres and classics at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Guthrie, Arena Stage, Yale Rep, Hartford Stage, Huntington, Seattle Rep, ACT, Baltimore Center Stage, CalShakes, Actors’ Theater of Louisville, Court Theater, The Acting Company and South Coast Rep. Lisa has directed regularly at Berkeley Rep (where she was Associate Director from 2016-2019), Mark Taper Forum (where she was Resident Director for 10 years before that) and La Jolla Playhouse (Associate Director from 1992-1995). She developed many new plays at the Sundance Theatre Lab, the O’Neill Playwrights Conference, Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis, and Ojai Playwrights Conference. In 2019 she was given the Gordon Davidson Award for Lifetime Achievement.
